Great Western Minerals Appoints New Manager

Great Western Minerals (CVE:GWG, OTC:GWMGF, FFT:GWM) hat David Kennedy als Chief Executive für Rare Earth Extraction Co (Rareco) appointed. Tochter Rareco hält den Titel für das Steenkampskraal Rare earth Projekt in der Western Cape Provinz Südafrikas.

Kennedy will be responsible for the development and operation of the project.

Kennedy is co-founder of Less Common Metals, a company, which was acquired by Great Western and the manufacture of rare earth based alloys. He had been 2008 Great Westerns as a manager for metals and alloys, worked.

As successor in this function was named Ian Higgins. It will thus take responsibility for Less Common Metals and Great Western Technologies division. Higgins had been 2001 Operations manager for Less Common Metals.

Great Western has also appointed David Murphy as a commercial manager for Less Common Metals. He has 30 Years of experience in the rare earth sector, and most recently worked at Johnson Matthey Rare Earth Products as Manager.

Great Western produces specialty alloys for batteries, Magnet applications as well as for air- aerospace industry from two locations: Less Common Metals in Birkenhead, UK, und Great Western Technologies in Troy, Michigan.

Except Steenkampskraal, the company owns interests in six rare earth exploration and development properties in North America.
