The strategic issues of the German-Chilean Chamber of Commerce – Mining and Mineral Engineering, Energy, Innovation and technology transfer and vocational education- and training – were the focus of two forums, the most of the AHK Chile 27. October, with the support of its partners in the Haus der Wirtschaft in Berlin.

On the high-profile event with more than 200 Participants included five ministers, representing ten parliamentarians and the president of the main business associations of the Andean country. At the subsequent “Inspiration Tour – Mining meets Industry” took more than 20 Entrepreneurs part of Chile. In 2013 wurde auf höchster Regierungsebene beschlossen, die deutsch-chilenischen Beziehungen im Bereich Bergbau und mineralische Rohstoffe auf eine strategisch Ebene zu heben und ĂŒber kommerzielle Zielsetzungen beider LĂ€nder hinaus auch an anderen Themen von beiderseitigem Interesse zu arbeiten. FĂŒr den regelmĂ€ssigen Austausch hierzu wurde das Deutsch-Chilenische Forum fĂŒr Bergbau und Rohstoffe als jĂ€hrlich stattfindende bilaterale Plattform einberufen.

Fraunhofer-Forum “Applied Innovation in Smart Factory and energy”
Directly after the commodity Forum was organized in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Society Forum “Applied Innovation in Smart Factory and energy” carried out, show to the potential of new solutions to the energy issues of the Chilean mining. During this forum, the President of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Prof.. Dr.-Ing. Reimund Neugebauer the Chilean side in front of the role of its institutions in Germany High-Tech Strategy.

The Chilean Economy Minister Luis Felipe CĂ©spedes informed about the challenges of the innovation strategy of the Chilean government and the opportunities for German players, while Energy Minister MĂĄximo Pacheco demonstrated the potential of an investment in the energy sector of the Andean country.

The Chilean President Michelle Bachelet attended the signing of the agreement on the establishment of a second Fraunhofer Centers in Chile, das in Zusammenarbeit mit Fraunhofer ISE Freiburg aufgebaut wird. Das neue Fraunhofer Chile Research Center for Solar Energy Tecnology kommt zum bereits 2010 gegrĂŒndeten Fraunhofer Chile Research Centre for Systems Biotechnology hinzu und wird unter dem Dach der Stiftung Fraunhofer Chile Reserach arbeiten.

PrĂ€sidentin Bachelet schloss die Veranstaltung mit einer Rede, in der sie die Bedeutung der Kooperation zwischen Chile in so strategisch wichtigen Themen wie Bergbau, Energy, Innovation und Bildung hervorhob. Agreement to promote innovation in Chile
The AHK Chile and the VDI / VDE Innovation + GmbH (VDI/VDE-IT) signed in the presence of the Chilean Minister of Economy Luis Felipe CĂ©spedes an agreement on a partnership to increase the capacity for innovation in Chile. This is to the specific competences of both institutions will be merged.

VET partnership FOCOCERT:
Delegationsreise “Vocational training and social dialogue”

As part of the German-Chilean cooperation, FOCOCERT, traveled between 25. October and 2. November, a Chilean delegation Vorstandsmitgiedern the project partner ChileValora to Germany.
